With more than 60 years in the construction industry, Eagle Mountain Industries has seen tremendous change in how worksites operate. We’ve experienced the evolution of safety practices and a growing awareness of how workplace culture impacts everything from productivity to worker wellbeing. While we’ve made significant strides as an industry, there is still a great deal of work to do when it comes to psychological safety and ensuring every worker feels respected, valued, and supported.
As a company that has led and delivered large, complex infrastructure projects across British Columbia, we understand just how critical team cohesion is. Coordinating hundreds of workers across multi-phase, high-stakes projects leave little room for dysfunction. We’ve seen firsthand how even small pockets of disrespect or exclusion can have an outsized impact that lowers morale, slows progress, and damages the ability to attract and retain skilled workers. Toxic behaviours, even when subtle, create ripple effects that impact entire crews and ultimately threaten project success.
That’s why Eagle Mountain Industries has taken the important step of signing the Builders Code Pledge.
The Builders Code is more than a symbol of good intentions, it’s a practical, industry-supported framework designed to create safe, inclusive, and productive construction sites. By signing the pledge, we’ve committed to upholding a standard that prioritizes respectful communication, fairness, and collaboration, while actively working to prevent discrimination, hazing, bullying, and harassment. We’re not only making this commitment because it's good for productivity and retention, we’re doing it because it reflects the values we’ve always believed in as builders and leaders.
Our leadership team is committed to fostering an environment where every on site feels welcome and empowered to do their best work. We’ve long recognized that the most successful teams are those where people are free to speak up, contribute ideas, and show up to work without fear of being judged or mistreated.
Signing the Builders Code Pledge aligns with our legacy of integrity and excellence. It gives us access to tools, training, and resources to reinforce positive culture across all levels of the organization. Just as we invest in safety equipment and technical training, we believe in investing in the social infrastructure of our teams. This is how we future proof the workforce, attract the next generation of skilled workers, and continue to deliver projects that communities rely on.
We’re proud to join a growing list of like-minded companies across BC who are setting a new standard for the construction industry. Together, we are working toward a shared vision of a construction sector where differences are welcomed, voices are heard, and respect is the foundation of every build.
Eagle Mountain Industries is ready to lead by example. Because when we build with respect—we build better for everyone.
